Active Auditors (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an audit, tax and corporate advisory firm founded in Sharjah in 1995 and registered under the Sharjah Ministry of Economy & Commerce (Reg. No. 227), with offices in Sharjah, Hamriyah Free Zone, Dubai and Mumbai. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, activeauditors.com, and in the course of our professional engagements, and how we handle it.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. Our website contains no forms and does not require an account. If you choose to contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp, we receive the details you provide — typically your name, contact details, company name, and the substance of your enquiry.
Information collected automatically. Like virtually all websites, our web server keeps standard access logs, which record your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. These logs are used solely for security and site administration.
Client engagement information. If you become a client, we collect the information necessary to deliver audit, tax and advisory services — including financial records, ownership and identity documents required under applicable law (for example, anti-money-laundering and Ultimate Beneficial Owner rules). That information is governed by our engagement letter with you and by our professional duties of confidentiality, in addition to this policy.
2. Cookies and analytics
Our website does not use cookies, advertising trackers or third-party analytics. The site stores a single temporary flag in your browser’s session storage so our introductory animation plays only once per visit; it identifies nothing about you and is deleted when you close the tab.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request;
- To perform our contractual and professional obligations to clients;
- To meet legal and regulatory requirements, including UAE Federal Tax Authority, free-zone authority, AML/CFT and audit regulations;
- To maintain the security and proper operation of our website and systems.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.
4. Legal basis and applicable law
We process personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and, for our Mumbai office, India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Our processing rests on one or more of: your consent, the performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in operating and securing our practice.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We share personal information only when necessary:
- with regulators, government authorities or courts where the law requires it;
- with trusted service providers (such as IT hosting) who act on our instructions under confidentiality obligations;
- within our own offices in the UAE and India for the purpose of serving you.
6. International transfers
Because we operate in both the UAE and India, information may be transferred between our offices in those countries. We apply the same confidentiality and security standards wherever the information is held.
7. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, and thereafter as required by law — UAE commercial, tax and audit regulations generally require records to be retained for a minimum of five years. Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to an engagement is deleted within a reasonable period.
8. Security
We maintain appropriate technical and organisational safeguards — including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to our website, access controls and staff confidentiality duties — to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; object to or restrict its processing; or withdraw consent you have previously given. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@activeauditors.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
10. Third-party links
Our website may link to external services such as WhatsApp. Those services operate under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
11. Children
Our website and services are directed at businesses and professionals, not at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its “last updated” date, will always be available on this page.
